Privacy Policy

Focus Your Energy ("FYE") is a personal resource allocation journal. This policy explains plainly what data we collect, how it's used, and what we don't do with it. We've written this to be read, not just published.
What we collect
When you create an account and use the journal, we collect:
- Your email address — used to identify your account and send sign-in links. Nothing else.
- Your journal entries — everything you write inside the journal: your activities, resource allocations, reflections, and goals. This is stored so you can save your progress and return to it.
- Basic account metadata — when your account was created, when you last signed in.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We don't request or store anything beyond that.
What we don't collect
- We don't run advertising tracking or behavioral analytics on your journal activity.
- We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
- We don't read your journal entries. They exist solely for your use.
- We don't build profiles, run targeting, or share your information with marketers.
How your data is stored
Your journal data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, a database infrastructure company based in the United States. Your data is encrypted at rest and protected by row-level security — meaning it is technically inaccessible to other users of FYE.
Supabase, as the infrastructure provider, operates the servers your data lives on. Their privacy policy governs their handling of that infrastructure. We have no commercial relationship with Supabase involving your data — we pay them for hosting, not for access to what's stored.
This site is hosted on Netlify, which may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, pages visited, browser type) as part of normal web infrastructure operation. We do not access or use these logs for any purpose.
Who can see your journal
Only you. Your entries are private by design — they are tied to your account and inaccessible to other users. We do not view, analyze, or share your journal content.
The only circumstance in which your data could be accessed by us would be if legally compelled by a valid court order. We would notify you if permitted to do so.
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated journal data at any time by contacting us through the site. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request.
Children
FYE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date above. We won't change our practices in ways that reduce your privacy without notice.
